These Terms of Use ("Agreement") are between the Swiss Game Hub ("SGH", "we", "us"), a non-profit association supporting the Swiss game industry, and the user ("User", "you"), whether a company or an individual. This Agreement governs your use of the SGH coworking space, facilities, and services.
SGH provides workspace facilities which generally include a desk (type dependent on membership), chair, high-speed internet access, electricity, and access to shared amenities such as a kitchen with dining area, coffee & tea (fair use), WC, showers, and regular cleaning of common areas. All members typically benefit from 24/7 access.
Membership Models:
Flex Desk: Provides access to any available non-dedicated desk in the designated flex desk area. The desk must be cleared of all personal belongings at the end of each work session.
Fixed Desk: Provides a dedicated desk for your exclusive use in the shared office space, allowing you to set up your workstation. There may be different types of Fixed Desk options available.
Team Space: Offers a private and customisable office area for teams. Users may furnish and design this space in consultation with SGH and in compliance with safety regulations.
Optional Services:
Lockers: Available for rent (subject to availability and additional cost).
Postal Address: A c/o SGH postal address is included. A registered business address without c/o may be available on request.
Contract:
Memberships are typically on a month-to-month basis, except where specified otherwise for certain membership models (e.g. Team Spaces). Current pricing for all membership types is detailed on sgh.cobot.me.
Payment:
Membership fees are payable in advance for the upcoming period as per the invoicing terms.
User Cancellation:
For Flex Desk and Fixed Desk memberships, you can cancel your membership with a one-month notice period, effective at the end of the following billing cycle.
For Team Space memberships, a three-month notice period is required for cancellation, effective at the end of the third full billing cycle following the date of notice.
Cancellations should be made in writing to SGH or via your SGH Cobot account, if applicable.
SGH Cancellation:
SGH may cancel a membership by providing a one-month notice period for Flex Desk and Fixed Desk memberships, or a three-month notice period for Team Spaces. SGH reserves the right to terminate a membership immediately for just cause, including but not limited to serious breaches of these Terms or non-payment.
Refunds:
No refunds or credits will be issued for membership fees already paid, including for any notice period or for partial months.
Use of Facilities:
You agree to use the SGH facilities and services responsibly, at your own risk, and in a manner that does not interfere with the operations of SGH or the activities of other users.
Respectful Environment:
All users must contribute to a respectful, safe, and professional environment. Harassment (including sexual harassment), bullying, discrimination (including sexist or racist remarks), threats, or any disruptive behaviour are strictly prohibited.
Personal Belongings:
You are responsible for the security of your personal belongings.
Compliance:
You agree to comply with all SGH rules and guidelines, as well as the terms of SGH's main lease agreement for the building premises.
To the extent permitted by Swiss law, SGH (including its board, employees, and agents) shall not be liable for any personal injury, damage to or loss of property, or loss of data or business incurred by the User or their guests while on SGH premises or using SGH services. This exclusion of liability does not apply in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct by SGH.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. The place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be Zurich, Switzerland.
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
